Our Mission

Apocalyptic Artists is an ensemble of multidisciplinary theatre makers committed to shaping the future of classical theatre, making it accessible for all.  

We produce new and innovative adaptations, honor artists with diverse identities and experiences, and provide inspirational programming for young people.

Our Story

Apocalyptic Artists was born out of a simple desire to serve the students in our community who were losing access to arts programming during the 2020 Covid-19 Pandemic. What began as online workshops paired with Zoom performances of Macbeth has grown beyond what we could have anticipated. To date, we have facilitated nearly 400 workshops and engaged over 3000 students throughout New York City. We have produced three filmed adaptations of Shakespeare’s plays, and began producing live touring productions of the plays in Spring 2024.
