We are celebrating our first Theater In Schools Advocacy Award presented to Rehea Gomez, our upcoming filmed adaptation of Shakespeare’s As You Like It, and an upcoming 2025 tour of A Midsummer Night’s Dream in collaboration with Red Bull Theater.

Damian Thompson
Damian Jermaine Thompson is a classically trained stage, film, and television actor. Born in Kingston, Jamaica and partly raised in Miami, FL, he now resides in New York City. Mr. Thompson is a 2022 Connecticut Critics Choice award winner for outstanding lead actor in a play, a 2018 NAACP award winner for his performance in Fly (the story of the Tuskegee Airmen), and a 2012 leading actor Drammy Award winner for his performance in the Brother/Sister Plays at Portland Playhouse in Oregon. He has had the pleasure of performing for both the Obama’s and the Clinton’s at the Ford’s Theatre in Washington DC and Off-Broadway in New York City. His short film BLACK? (for which he wrote, produced, and co-starred in) won best film at the New York Premiere film festival, and was an official selection at numerous festivals including the International Black Film festival, the Orlando Film Festival, and the Albuquerque Film Festival. Eli Bridges
Eli Bridges is a NYC based actor and musician. A few recent credits include, CBS "FBI MOST WANTED" (GUEST STAR), "MOTHERLESS BROOKLYN" (CO STAR) dir. by Edward Norton, FIRE ISLAND, and FX' "GOTHAM." Eli Bridges has been in two productions with APOCALYPTIC ARTISTS ; Cassius in "JULIUS CAESAR" and Amiens in their latest film production of "AS YOU LIKE IT" and is thrilled to continue working with this amazing collective of artists. Jennie Riech Litzky
Jennie is an actress, director, and producer. She was an apprentice at the Apocalyptic Artists Ensemble in 2023, where she acted in As You Like It and was a production assistant. Jennie is a co-creator of The Yiddish Shakespeare Project, where she recently performed as Hamlet, completely in Yiddish. This summer, Jennie was a director in New Perspectives Theater Company's Women's Work Short Play Festival. Past Theater and Film credits include Laughingstock (Emiliana Astro), Love in a Bottle (Katie), Lear (Edmund/Big Bird), Rhinoceros (Jean), Eurydice (Eurydice). Jennie is currently rehearsing for a play with The Torch Ensemble that will be performed at Under St. Marks Theater in October. @jenniereichlitzkytheater
Joycelyn Bedele
Joycelyn Bedele is an actress who currently attends The American Musical Dramatic Academy (AMDA). Born in Accra Ghana, she came to America for a better life with her family at the age of three. Over the last few years, she has studied multiple techniques such as Meisner, Stanislavski and implements them well in theater and film. Joycelyn enjoys dancing and singing as well and is also trained in unarmed, single rapier, dagger, and broadsword in stage combat. She has a love for the comedic and drama style of acting and is interested in pursuing those styles in the future. She hopes to impact this industry with her storytelling and creative abilities.
Tom Nelis
Film and Television: Recent exciting work includes portraying Howard Hughes in J.J. Abrams new HBO series DUSTER and shooting several scenes opposite Paul Mescal in HISTORY OF SOUND. Also: OUT AND ABOUT, GIRL FROM THE NORTH COUNTRY, INDECENT, ESTELLA SCROGE, THE TWIN TOWERS, MISSING CHILDREN, WHOPPIE, SMASH, LITTLE KINGS, Conan O'Brien and A GIFTED MAN
Mr Nelis has appeared on Broadway in GIRL FROM THE NORTH COUNTRY, INDECENT, THE VISIT, ENRON, THE CAINE MUTINY COURT MARTIAL, and AIDA.
Off Broadway he has been seen at The Public Theater, Playwrights Horizons, The Signature Theater, Classic Stage Company, Theater for a New Audience / The Royal Shakespeare Company, Cafe La Mama, New York Theater Workshop, Second Stage, Dance Theater Workshop, The Brooklyn Academy of Music, Mineta Lane, and Manhattan Theater Club as well as at regional theaters across the U.S..
He has been awarded an Eliot Norton Award for Prospero in The Tempest, an OBIE for Marshall McLuhan in THE MEDIUM, and a Drama League Nomination for Leonard Bernstein in SCORE. Nelis was a founding member of SITI Company and performed with that ensemble for 25 years. He has toured the U.S. and Europe with both Laurie Anderson and Richard Foreman. He earned his MFA at UC San Diego.
Rehea Gomez
Rehea Rivers Gomez has been a Teaching Artist/Educator with the NYC Department of Education for over 20 years. Born on the beautiful island of Trinidad, she migrated to the US at the age of 12. She studied English, Theatre and Dance at Queens College. She is a singer, dancer and actor who is passionate about using her voice to bring about social change.
